App suggestion: Filter for classic bikes only
This idea is not really specific to Bike Angels, but seems like as good a place as any to post it since there's no community for CitiBike, Capital Bikeshare, Divvy etc. anywhere else that I know. There's already a filter icon in the CaBi app, you tap it and your 2 options are: All bikes: Show all ebikes and classic bikes Ebikes: Only show e-assisted bikes Well, I prefer to ride the classic bikes, I know I'm in the minority in the world and ebikes are great and get more people bike commuting and all that, but I personally prefer pedaling for the exercise, plus the red bikes are way lighter to whip around, just more fun and I ride them 99% of the time. (Sometimes for sure I will take an ebike if I need to leave it undocked somewhere, or I'm late for a meeting and need to truck 5 miles uphill in a straight line.) Anyway I probably shouldn't be trying to explain that riding bikes is fun or that different people have different preferences and that's OK but that is what it boils down to. So anyway, maybe we could have a 3rd option in the app? Like: Classic bikes: Only show classic bikes I know it's not a gamechanger, but it would be cool for me, and I think for Bike Angels it also makes sense, sometimes you don't pay attention and end up somewhere where there are like 13 ebikes and no real ones. And I'll help out and rebalance ebikes too sometimes, but it doesn't really make sense to be spending $ or credits to do that, so most of the time I'm just looking to ride classic bikes. And it should be pretty low effort dev-wise, I mean the data is already there in the app, and adding a third option to this menu that slides up won't clutter the UX in anyway. Anyway that is my pitch for this feature! Of course any other ideas are welcome too. I think the app developers have done a great job on the level of detail on the map. Thanks!
