An example would be if you pick up at a 12 point pick up station & drop off at a 3 point pick up station, instead of getting the net positive 9 points, you get no points & your 3x boost streak is ended.
I'll take a crack at answering...
"pick up at a 12 point pick up station & drop off at a 3 point pick up station"
Well, yeah.
Cause you're not, as they say, making the system more healthier which is the goal of the Bike Angels program.
The computer says the drop-off dock NEEDS bikes taken out, regardless of what's actually happening on the ground. Like a 12 point drop-off at a full station or some other crazy stuff we see throughout the days.
Another example I learned that will end your streaks is, " Lost Booster After Using Cable Lock"

This only applies to cities that allow out of station docking of eBikes but the whole thread is still an interesting read

My logic is that while a 12 point & 3 point pick up both need pick ups, the 12 point pick up needs it much more, so assuming the algorithm is right, that is making it healthier, and in the long run leads to more incentives, leading to more potentialy healthier system.

Yeah... Except...
You're not picking up at the 3 point station and instead doing exactly what is not "healthy" for the station and dropping off, right?
So, while the pick-up helps the system, the drop-off definitely does not and I guess, Lyft has determined the redistribution algorithm works better on the whole when Bike Angels are not purposefully loading up, or taking away, bikes from stations that do, or don't need bikes.
But, what do I know.
Good suggestion anyway. It surly woukd make our job easier.
