Do we have to rate every ride??
If I'm doing a bunch of short rides in a row to earn more Bike Angel points, it's annoying to be prompted to rate each ride before I can get back to the screen/map to start the next ride. Is there any way to bypass having to rate each ride? TIA235Views3likes20CommentsSecond 3x ride didn't count to reset the timer
Dear Bike Angels community, Yesterday I entered a 3x streak, took a bike home with 9 points, did another 6 point ride in the evening and was ready to get my last time in before the timer ends but the app showed "2 more rides to reset the timer" - is this expected, do the early 3x rides "expire" or something or is this a bug? In my ride history I see 3 rides with 3x points within the requested time limit, yet I'm back at 1x now. Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards, PhilipSolved65Views0likes4CommentsA glitch in push notifications
I’ve noticed a small glitch in push notifications after finishing a ride. See the screenshot attached. I completed ride #1, earned 9 points and my bank showed as 836 points. A few minutes later I completed ride #2, again earned 9 points but my bank total increased by 18 points (854 - 836.) I again earned 9 points for ride #3 but my bank balance stayed at 854. l don’t consider it to be a big deal as the error always self-corrects after the next ride or two and, more importantly, the point bank in the app always shows the proper amount. Using the above, after ride #2 my bank total should be 845 points, which is what the app shows. So the error is the number showing in the push notification, not in the app itself. It happens maybe once a month or so. I’m posting it as an FYI for other BAs as well as anyone on the tech team who wants a project.13Views0likes0CommentsLost & Found
Did anyone lose a bike key last night (August 13th) in Manhattan...or know of someone else who did? Spread the word and let me know if you hear anything. Details such as the number of the citibike key and what other items were on the key ring would help to verify the owner's identity. Thank you.33Views0likes2CommentsNYC Proof of age coming?
Press in NYC is reporting today that the city will require Lyft to limit bike rentals (I assume pedal assist) to those 16 and older. I guess there has been a growing rate of a accidents involving those below 16. I am 6FT, 190, and can handle the bike in various situations, but I would think the very heavy bikes can be dangerous with those younger/smaller/lighter esp if not obeying bike rules. Anyway this seems hard to enforce? Which brings up anther question. How are minors under 16 getting access to these bikes? Dont you need a credit card, or some recurring payment method? Do they get via special city programs?25Views0likes0CommentsMissing Bike
I'll keep it short. About 2 weeks ago, I was angeling at night, took a bike out and docked it properly at a station, as usual. However, it did not register docked so I took a picture of the bike and station, reported it, and ended the ride so that I can continue. However late next day, citibike said that my bike was not docked properly and charged me for 24 hours. The bike# they said that I docked is not the same bike# in the picture I took. Now citibike is charging me total of $363 for missing bike. I tried to explain as Citibike Angels, there's no reason for me to take a bike, and not dock it properly, because that's how I make the points. I was wondering if anyone can direct me to someone at citibike that can help me out.Solved77Views2likes5CommentsMembership extension granting only 28 days, not 30
The past 2 or 3 months, my membership extension Bike Angels option has only been granting 28 days at 4x extensions instead of 30 days. The 4th extension in a month is supposed to grant 9 days instead of 7, but that has not been the case. I am not sure what exactly might have prompted this change on my end - maybe I disabled auto-renew on my membership, but my membership is still 'active'; it could also be that the last few months, I redeemed the weeks separately instead of all at once. This month, I redeemed 3 extensions at once (21 days) and then the 4th one later (supposed to be 9 days but was 7). Has the policy changed yet again? The FAQ and webpages still reference the 30 day policy: https://community.bikeangels.com/kb/basics/bike-angels-faq/38: Weekly membership extensions are still available, and earning 80 points will now unlock a full calendar month (instead of just 4 weeks). https://citibikenyc.com/bike-angels/rewards: Membership extension (20 points): Extend your membership from your original renewal date. Redeem up to 4 weeks each month. When you redeem the fourth week, we’ll extend your membership for a full 30 days. If not, how can I get this resolved and get my missing days?Solved149Views2likes8Comments
