ebike credits

I'm wondering why the ebike credits are not fully depleted oldest first. I have random small amounts remaining from several angel rewards while at the same time ebike credits from a later date are being used for a credit on an ebike ride. Could someone explain why this is happening and how it can be fixed. Thank you!

  • Coming back to this thread with some fixes from our rewards team!

With the helpful examples and feedback that you all raised, we were able to identify and fix an issue that prevented these coupons from stacking.

You know what they say, “team work makes the dream work”.

These coupons are all fixed as of this morning to stack on your rides as originally intended! Any remaining balances from these coupons will be stacked and used on your future rides too.

If you are seeing something different in your app, let us know and we will dive in and take a look!

Unfortunately, my oldest credit remaining balance of $0.50 (Jun 1 expiration) never got deducted from my recent e-bike rides including on 4/25 and 4/26. In addition, the order of credit deductions are also strange. Instead of deducting from the oldest credit first, it seems to deduct from full $1.20 credit first, leaving several credit balances with random amounts: .57, .31. and 1.15.

My credits are still showing remainders. Plus one of my recent credit reward is deducting before an older reward, which will expire before the one that's being deducted. I'd think the older one should deduct first.

    Hey cb,

We have seen your feedback and told our engineering team who is looking into this and the feedback of other angels!

Thank you for your response and looking into this issue. Further to this problem today I had a ride where only partial ebike credit was applied to the ebike charge. Again, not the oldest credit and not using all my credits but rather half ecredit applied and half charged to my credit card which needs to be corrected. Thanks!

This is happening to me too!! I took an ebike today in order to use up some reward credits that are expiring in the next few days, and none of them were used for this ride - instead, credits that don’t expire for a while were applied!

Currently, the Lyft system uses credits from largest to smallest, so newer credits that have not been used yet will be prioritized over the smaller, partially used credits. Our team is aware of this and we are seeing what we can do about changing this in future updates.

I hope the team can figure it out soon, because I lost some credits this week due to the problem. Boo.

I too have "remainders" from rewards. Maybe lyft could combine these 12 cents rewards but doesn't seem likely.

As of today my credits are once again showing remainders as well. Seems like it was fixed for a short time and now has reverted back to not applying the remainder of credits to an ebike charge.

November and this issue seems to be actually worsening for me! All my July credits expired without being touched, while my latest Nov 5 credit, for only $1.50, was just accessed despite larger, older amounts.

This is an issue I've been concerned with as well. The emails - when you earned e-credits say they expire after 3 months, but they always deduct the new ones first, which means I'll lose the older ones & have no incentive to continue at this point.

I still have unused credits from early August(8/8). Are those expired? The emails that come when you earn credits say they expire after 3 months, but they use the new ones first. Based on the previous posts I see this issue has been going on for a while.

Hey there! We're sorry for any confusion with your credits. They actually don't expire! We're working with our team now to get that updated in the Gold Gear reward emails to avoid any confusion moving forward.

In regard to the order in which they apply, the system applies the credit with the highest amount first.
