Incorrect station location prevents undocking bike
The station named "Noble St & Potomac Ave" (id 2145477699306070924) has the wrong location entered in database. The location is returned as (41.89131, -87.66398) but the actual station, at Noble St & Potomac Ave, is about a mile north. Consequence is that bikes can't be taken out at the station by scanning the QR code, the app gives you an error saying "This bike is too far away. Try one closer to you, or move closer to the bike you wanted." (video demo here -> https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BafslKcdTz8). It is still possible to take out a bike using your key.Solved38Views0likes1CommentConfused about divvy membership pricing
I'm confused on the pricing conditions for divvy annual membership. The website (https://divvybikes.com/pricing) says: > $143.90/year* ($99/year limited time offer available for new or returning members) > $99 annual rate available for new and returning riders only. Existing members may not be eligible. Why are existing members being charged more than new members? As an existing member I would expect to be "grandfathered" into a better rate, not locked into a worse rate. What does a "returning" member mean - may existing members just cancel their membership and sign up again for the $99 rate?28Views0likes0CommentsPedal assist preference on ebike
In citibike help pages I see this info https://help.citibikenyc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039406631-Riding-with-an-ebike In instances where there are no classic bikes at a station, members can now rent one of our new, next-gen silver ebikes in “classic mode.” This means that you can rent this ebike for no extra charge, but there will be little to no e-assist for the ride. To make this choice, you’ll see a screen after scanning the QR code that allows you to choose between riding with full assist or riding with low assist. But in divvy (chicago) help pages, which otherwise looks pretty similar, it doesn't have that section https://help.divvybikes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046649911-Riding-with-an-ebike We have those same bikes as NYC, except they have a cable lock fitted for docking out of station. Is the low-cost ebike ride also possible in Chicago, riding with low assist? If so, how to select it? If not, why not?Solved220Views1like5CommentsLyft Credits For Day Pass Friend
Hi, thanks for your help. Our BA Lyft credits can be used for many things, and I understand the shared rides, but is there some way I can buy the day pass for a friend that is available in Chicago Divvy? It's much cheaper than the .18 cents a minute Thank youSolved51Views2likes2CommentsIs the Bike Angel, E-Bike System Unfair
Is the Bike Angel, E-Bike System Unfair - It's not really a question, because it is... unfair If you’ve looked at the MoreBikes NYC stats, you’ll see eBikes dominate usage in New York, which means eBikes need to be redistributed the most. https://www.morebikes.nyc/daily_stats/ Here’s the thing... The Bike Angels are helping to balance the system, but we are being charged for rebalancing the most popular bikes - eBikes If you're a Bike Angel trying to earn points, those fees eat into your rewards big time, so you're helping Lyft make the system run better... and paying them for the privilege. Wim posted a matrix that show it clearly: Is it worth returning an ebike/scooter to a dock? | Bike Angels Imagine your boss offers you a salary, but says you can only shop at their own overpriced (.18 cents a minute) store to do the job. We’re happily doing the work, but we're forced to "buy the supplies" needed to get the job done, from Lyft. Sure, Lyft - CitiBike, Divvy, will never, ever change this, but it’s still awfully unfair. In NYC, the bikes have to be docked, Chicago's Divvy eBikes can be left out of station, which makes it even more crucial to hunt down and pick up the abandoned, and obscurely located ebikes that are left everywhere. We shouldn’t be punished financially for helping. Okay, just don't move eBikes. And although it will cut into the fun, at close to a 23% penalty in total points for the day, I may just start doing that. Problem solved.230Views1like7CommentsLyft Ride Credits Not Showing Up as Applied—Anyone Else Having This Issue?
Hey folks, Quick question for anyone who’s redeemed Bike Angels points for Lyft credit: Lately, whenever I try to book a Lyft, my available credit doesn’t show up—neither on the main page nor in the payment details. For example, say I’ve got $100 in Lyft credit from Bike Angels, and my ride should cost $50. Normally, it would show the original price crossed out and say "FREE" if credit is being used. But now, it just shows the full price with no indication that the credit applies (90% of the time). This also happens with the $10 Chase promo credit (which I get too). The Chase $10 credit and the Lyft credit from Bike Angels always show up together (as seen in the screenshot). I’m never sure if my credit will cover the ride. Anyone else seeing this? Started for me around the time the Chase promo was added. If anyone knows what’s up or how to fix it, I’d really appreciate the help!153Views0likes1CommentPlease remove public racks from the City Explorer
In the City Explorer view for Chicago, about half of the "Divvy stations" are not actually stations at all. They're just public bike racks. You can lock an ebike here without a fee, but you can't get or leave a classic bike. They shouldn't show up in the City Explorer. In the Lyft last mile API json (https://s3.amazonaws.com/lyft-lastmile-production-iad/lbs/chi/station_information.json) these are indicated with: "rack_model": "CITY_PUBLIC_RACK" And in the GBFS station information feed (https://gbfs.divvybikes.com/gbfs/en/station_information.json) they are indicated by: "station_type": "lightweight", "has_kiosk": false In the Graph QL API (https://account.divvybikes.com/bikesharefe-gql) they're also indicated as "lightweight", but so are e-bike only stations. Fortunately the station name always seems to start with "Public Rack", so they can still be distinguished by the name prefix e.g.: { "stationId": "motivate_CHI_1806749740082741752", "stationName": "Public Rack - Milwaukee Ave & Lawrence Ave", "location": { "lat": 41.967385, "lng": -87.760169, "__typename": "Location" }, "bikesAvailable": 0, "bikeDocksAvailable": 2, "ebikesAvailable": 0, "totalBikesAvailable": 0, "isValet": false, "isOffline": false, "isLightweight": true, "siteId": "", "ebikes": [], "lastUpdatedMs": 1682970704000, "__typename": "Station" } Here is a google maps example of what one of these "stations" looks like, i.e. it's just a city rack: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jmnHeaqnbtQ32QDM9 Please remove these from the map in the bike share mobile app. They're too many, too visually noisy, and not useful. Those city racks are almost always empty, so all they do is put a whole bunch of "Zero" pins on the map and obscure the real stations, like you can see in the screenshot below - the pin near the CTA station is a "real" bike share station, but all the zero pins on S Pulaski Rd are just public racks.322Views3likes7CommentsJoyriders and All Access
Regarding the Joyriders 15-minute extension for classic bike rides. Remco previously wrote: "The Lyft Pink upsell/included benefits message is not aware of your Joyrider status. If you have Joyrider status, you'll get an additional 15 minutes on classic bike rides for both membership types." Link: Will Lyft Pink Access All Market? | Bike Angels I currently have the Joyrider perk and an All-Access Pass, and the Citibike app still shows a 45-minute ride limit, while the Divvy app correctly shows 60 minutes. Can you clarify this, please? Based on Remco's post, we thought the 45-minute limit was only reflected in the "Lyft Pink upsell/included benefits message," and once approved as a Lyft All-Access Pass member, the Citibike app would update to reflect the full 60 minutes. I understand that promotional messaging did not recognize my Joyrider status, but now that I'm a confirmed Lyft All-Access Pass member, shouldn't the Citibike app reflect the 60 minutes per Remco's explanation?Solved267Views0likes9CommentsHow many "Power Angels" are there in each city?
I'm interested to know the breakdown of number of Power Angels (5000+ pts) per city Chicago (divvy) NYC (citibike) Boston (bluebikes) San Francisco (bay wheels) Washington DC (capital bikeshare) Portland (biketown pdx) Montreal (amis bixi)280Views3likes7CommentsWill Lyft Pink Access All Market?
Hello Thank you Found some answers :) Coming from Divvy, using All Access Citibike, we got 5 free unlocks at membership rates. When the 5 FREE were used up, we were charged the unlock fee and the per minute for the guest was calculated at the NON-MEMBER rate. (big money) Everything was charged to the member's account, using Lyft Credits (or credit card if you don't have sufficient credits) Without Lyft Credits the whole project is insanely expensive, and even so, you better have some big bucks in Lyft Credits because running up a 60$++ tab with an e-Bike around the park is easy. Even short rides will cost you a sawbuck. (pic) The system worked fine, clear to understand, with few glitches - sometimes we had to re-dock the guest bike because the member's scan did not populate Hahaha - Welcome to New York! We took a Lyft ride for one (1) mile last Sunday and it cost 69$. (pic) OLD STUFF If we upgrade our Divvy membership to Lyft Pink All Access, can we us our Points Bank to pay for extending Lyft Pink All Access membership? YES ANNUAL LYFT PINK MEMBERSHIPS ARE CURRENTLY EXTENDABLE USING BIKE ANGELS EXTENSIONS, BUT MONTHLY MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOT. Will that also give us the same Lyft's car sharing access in all their cities? Answer: YES Will that also give us access to Lyft's bike sharing and the Bike Angels program, in all of their other bike sharing markets?. Answer: NOT "ALL". Why pay Citbike's annual fee of $220 when Pink All Access is only $199? Answer: YOU SHOULDN'T. ALL ACCESS IS CHEAPER Thank you578Views1like13Comments
