Apple Pay

What's the deal with using Apple pay as the payment method on file? Is the 1$ for unlocking a bike a fee or a hold??
It was discussed before that it's required when using apple pay, but I didn't understand if it is a fee or a hold. Thanks for an explanation.

  • Also, if you make a credit card your primary payment method instead of Apple Pay, you won't have to stop to authenticate Apple Pay every time you unlock a bike.

Hi, 2WG-4WB, thanks for posting this question in the community. The $1 charge you see when unlocking with Apple Pay is a temporary authorization for any charges associated with the ride's final cost.
