Do we have to rate every ride??

If I'm doing a bunch of short rides in a row to earn more Bike Angel points, it's annoying to be prompted to rate each ride before I can get back to the screen/map to start the next ride. Is there any way to bypass having to rate each ride? TIA

  • I wish there was an option in the app for bike angels to skip the post-ride surveys entirely.

Exactly!,That's what I was wondering, if there was such sn option. But apparently not.

It’s not the big a deal. Hit next  then hit submit…..

I'm aware of that. It just gets annoying quickly when doing a lot of bike angel rides because it gets in the way of checking out the next bike or station angel points because of the unnecessary delay.

When the rate screen comes up just hit next…. Then hit submit.

But if you just hit "next" and "submit" without adding any stars, then aren't you -- in effect -- giving Citibike terrible ratings every time? I usually feel compelled to hit "next," then enter 4 or 5 stars, then hit "submit."  It’s only a few seconds, but it gets annoying after the millionth time.

It's treated as 5 stars internally I'm sure

  • I’m guessing you use the app to unlock bikes? If you have a key there’s no need to go thru the rating process. I only look at the app after every 15 minute reset to see how the points have changed.

if you use a key and not the app, how are you confirming your ride ended properly?  Many times, I've experienced the issue where (at the end of the ride) I've docked the bike, the light turns green, the audible indicator indicates success, but the ride has not ended.  The only way I can tell so is by checking the app.

I have push notifications on. As soon as I dock a bike, my phone buzzes and a message pops up on my lock screen.

What's the flow here?  How can you tell where the bike angel points are unless you have the app open?  Are you doing something like

      • open app, see where the points are
      • put app away
      • use bike key

That seems like more work than just clicking through the ratings screen on the app.

Yup...me too.  Plus, constantly looking at the screen drains the battery.  I just check after a few drop offs to see how much time I have left before the fifteen minute period will be ending.

I would also like to disable this prompt, it's such a bad UX

Oh yes, great idea! That would be very helpful for Bay Wheels too!

You guys are looking too deep   .Its not that bad.  You are chasing shadows that don’t exist.

I agree. It's an opportunity to give any bike that rides well 5 stars and move on with life.

If the hub is crunchy or the BB creaks, or a wheel's rubbing or something else is bad, rate it lower. I don't hit the wrench on the dock unless the bike is unsafe or unrideable.

That's what I do anyway. Takes 1 second.

You're against even having the option to turn this off?

No. But it doesn’t take that much time
