Automatic redemptions
I have a question/complaint about some recent activity in the app. Three times in the last week, the app has redeemed points from my points bank which I did not initiate. The attached pic shows the recent items. On 6/9, 6/12 and today, 6/14, redemptions were made for Lyft credit and e-bike credit which were done without any actions on my part. I’ve now lost 40 points this week and I neither requested nor want these credits. Can I expect to lose points every few days now for credits I don’t want? How can this be stopped or blocked? On a somewhat comical note, the items are shown as “gifts” from CitiBike. Since I was forced to pay for these items they are in no way gifts.327Views2likes23CommentsPoint change based on zoom
Why does the point changed if I zoom in or zoom out? I am guessing the zoom out one is to provide a more general sense of an area so may not be as up-to-date, and the zoom in one is the current point? Note the point changed from +2 to +1 as I zoom out, then changed back to +2 again as I zoom in. ThanksSolved200Views1like13CommentsWhy would I ever move an e-bike?
I've been an active participant in the Bike Angels program for about a year now and have found it incredibly rewarding, especially when moving non-electric bikes. However, I've encountered a challenge with e-bikes: the cost associated with redistributing them. Given this expense, I'm hesitant to spend my time moving e-bikes, which often results in certain stations accumulating these bikes. Is there a way to redistribute e-bikes without incurring costs, similar to how regular bikes can be moved for free? If not, what incentive is there for Bike Angels to redistribute e-bikes? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this matter.Solved158Views5likes8CommentsHow many "Power Angels" are there in each city?
I'm interested to know the breakdown of number of Power Angels (5000+ pts) per city Chicago (divvy) NYC (citibike) Boston (bluebikes) San Francisco (bay wheels) Washington DC (capital bikeshare) Portland (biketown pdx) Montreal (amis bixi)103Views3likes7CommentsUnable to see Station points
I recall someone reported this before but it just happened to me. Could not see the BA points on the map. Click on individual station, does not show if it needs pickup or drop off either. Restarted app, did not help. Verified network/signal was available. Time was 1:50pm 6/17/2024. Was there a subsystem outage at the time? If so,could the app give some indication that it could not retreive the latest info? If the BA API could be made public availabe, we could help track its reliability, if it helps. Thanks100Views1like8CommentsWhere’s the pink?
For more than a full day now, almost all stations with pick up or drop off points are showing the minimum value. In the entire system there are almost no stations showing higher values (indicated by the pink color instead of black). Hey, Citibike/Lyft — please explain!Solved100Views1like3CommentsIs There a Bike Angels Reward for Returning Abandoned Citibike?
Is there a reward through the Bike Angels program for returning abandoned Citibikes that are left outside of stations? If so, what is the process for doing this? I often see bikes left around, but given my tight schedule, it doesn’t seem worth the effort without a clear incentive. A way to scan them to know that they are truly abandoned and receive substantial points for returning them would be ideal.99Views3likes3CommentsPickup points at an empty dock
Just curious how this is supposed to work or how common it is. I'm in Greenpoint and every dock within a mile or so has pickup points, including one with no bikes at all (meaning it would not be possible to pick up from that dock). I assume Citi bike is doing the incentives more by zone l, but I would have thought an empty dock would at least be neutral. Is that a glitch or by design?Solved99Views0likes1Comment
