So November Cash Payments are Delayed?

Nearing the end of November and still haven’t received payment for points redeemed in October.

Payments seem to be delayed the past deqmontjs according to some of the comments I’ve seen in this chat.  They need to fix it. It’s disincentive for me and probably other Bike Angels to be out there hustling to earn points.

Lyft/Citibike need to resolve this issue.

  • Hello, all, I'm happy to share that Tremendous emails to complete October gift card rewards have been sent.

We will work to send November Tremendous emails as soon as possible, as I understand Angels may be wondering about the potential future delays. If I get an update on exactly when, I'll alert the group here.

I got the email, but only a partial payment, just ovet half what I earned. Are they doing multiple payments?

Update: As the business week comes to an end, I wanted to update the group. I had hoped this issue would be fixed much sooner. I will continue monitoring the situation throughout the weekend to expedite the resolution. I know that not having a specific time is very frustrating, but we will make sure that all Angels get the rewards they earned for October.

A this point, many of us are due rewards for both October and November.  Will November reward emails be delayed as well?

So October is messed because of incompetence

Why not be pro active and pay November then? Or will there just be more and more excuses

Yeah, it’s astonishing to me that they keep giving false hope like “maybe this weekend”. But, once again, it’s just proof that all their talk of respect is one-way. They can do whatever they like. Regardless of their own terms of services, regardless of NY state law around payment timelines. They do what they want and we bear the consequences. I also find it amusing that they act like this is a one-off, unexpected problem when their whole system doesn’t work. For example, it’s been over six months since earning my last lifetime reward- nothing ever showed up. Mentioned it to another moderatornina and no response. They just do not care. Let’s just hope that bringing some attention to this case will get Lyft to realise that respect runs two ways.

I’m trying to toe the proverbial line as well.

Just to say... people do know there are many other Lyft bike sharing cities that DO NOT offer points for cash and like any other gig job in the USA, the work can  evaporate overnight.

I get that people are mad, and there are terms and conditions clearly written out, but what keeps me thinking is the Charlie Sheen story, when with at top rated show, and 2 million an episode ,  the PRODUCERS,  the people in charge, just got fed up with the guy and said,  bye-bye. And overnight,  poof!

Alex Badlwin, wrote Charlie and Op-ed,  encouraging him to apologize, QUICKLY,  saying the producers control the whole show.

So while some expect a privilege ,  or claim to have a right, bottom line, everyone will get their checks, that 100% for sure, but what program comes next, is not guaranteed, and behaviors here, could be a determining factor.

Just ask Charlie, who thought he had the world in his hands, an  irreplaceable fixture.

    Not

    Just saying

Still no reward email.  I contacted  CS through the app.  They are repeating the same mantra as before and are attributing the delay to bank holidays and internal issues.  Here it is 2 weeks before Christmas and the issue remains unresolved. I did get an email this morning about new terms and conditions.

And not even the respect of a Monday morning update with answers to the specific questions that I, and others, have laid out. 70 days since I redeemed my reward- do you consider that acceptable  Jess

May be a time zone issue. Fingers crossed that we know more soon.

Good morning, all, wanted to check in and reiterate that I’m here and working to provide an update about your October payments as soon as I have any new information to share.

No need to continue to contact support, since we’re connected here. We’ll inform our team and Angels once we have confirmation that rewards are being sent.

Jessdo you consider this to be an acceptable update, 71 days after redemption? You told us to contact support in the first place. You told us it would be sorted in “a day or so” over a week ago? How can you possibly think that it is reasonable to come back on this morning with a completely open-ended timeline?

Just so the folks now, I spoke with my district rep’s office this morning. They were super helpful and they are contacting their colleague in the DOT to raise the issue. They suggested that other Bike Angels contact their local reps to add pressure. It is unacceptable that Lyft operates Citibike in this way and the rep confirmed that they must make these payments within 30 days from redemption not the 60 days they outlined in their terms of service. The city underwrites Citibike so they are the only ones who they will actually listen to.
