How do I report bikes that have their QR codes removed?
This bike and the bike next to it have no QR code. Like, they look like they've been removed. I tapped the wrench icon, but it didn't seem to do anything. More generally, I'm just not sure how to report bike issues after docking. It seems like if I don't press the wrench icon within a minute of docking, or if I tap through the post ride feedback screens, pressing the wrench icon does nothing.weeviler23 hours agoCasual Commenter32Views1like2CommentsStolen Bikes
I often see the non electric bikes locked up for extended periods outside buildings in NYC. I assume someone went to a docking station and took a bike that someone docked improperly. I guess the bike member gets hit for the lost bike charge? Is there any Bike Angel reward for reporting the bike info and location? That would be a true "Angel" helping member and CB.Gaffano24 hours agoResourceful Rider5Views0likes0CommentsAlgorithm
Hello, It feels like the citi bike angels algorithm typically assigns valuations based on historical performance. For example, there is typically a portion of Bed/Stuy and Bushwick that is need of bikes and has -1 and -2 point valuations (needs dropoffs). Likewise most of Williamsburg and Greenpoint is typically a range of 0 to +3 (needs pickups). Meanwhile, there are typically a few stations spruced throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint with less than 10-20% of bikes available. These stations are rarely if ever incentivized with a +1 or +2 (needs drop offs) even though they are in desperate need of drop offs. What are the steps being taken to incentivize people to make common sense drop offs that would Redistribute bikes to less crowded stations Reward users to make common sense detours from their typical routes and lead to spread bikes more evenly Also, what steps are being taken to increase the 2x multiplier time length? What is the benefit of providing people 24 hours to take positive rides? What about Citi Bike Angels who use the program more casually a handful of times a week for example? What is the point of disincentivizing Citi Bike riders in taking positive rides by including a rapidly expiring multiplier? For me, and many of my friends the 2x multiplier amounts to a pop-up ad than a helpful piece of information that guides my behavior. The direction to not take Negative rides serves a similar purpose and is much more effective. I understand that Lyft may want to incentivize Bike Angels to participate in the program more frequently but it seems burdensome and unrealistic with the way the vast majority of people use the program. I believe the Citi Bike program would be greatly improved by adjusting the timelines. See my reccomendation below: 2x Citi Angels timing: 72 hours to take 1 positive ride to maintain the 2x bonus, to take 3 positive rides to reach 3x positive rides 3x Citi Angels timing: 1 week to take 3 positive rides Best, Pizzafan457SolvedPizzafan4578 days agoResourceful Rider109Views0likes6CommentsBlueBikes E-gift cards
I've noticed that E-gift cards have recently been added to rewards for point redemption. Does anyone know if these E-gift cards are redeemable for cash? If not, what kind of gift cards are available? I can't find this info on the website. Thanks for help.SolvedRP11412 days agoResourceful Rider43Views0likes1CommentLow Angel Points Upper West Side
Upper West Side docks are empty or close to empty during the day after they are picked up in the morning for rides to midtown and downtown. The rewards for refilling these docks is always very low and it can be next to impossible to get a bike after 10am. Please can the rewards be maximized and/or doubled to encourage angels to refill these docks?Sneathd14 days agoResourceful Rider26Views0likes0CommentsI got paid? I thought tremendous was eliminated
For context I have been using Boston bluebikes for over 2 yrs and have been an angel since 2023. I was as shocked as anyone when the app changed on us last month in which even gift card options were seemingly removed. I was under the impression after this sudden change that I would not be getting paid anymore by bike angels even in terms of credits to Amazon or doordash. I interpreted the recent changes to mean that the points were useful towards ebike and long acoustic ride credits only. Much to my surprise however I received an email today with USD I was able to redeem via DoorDash. So is this for February rewards from before the app change or was this in error like we saw in December when we got paid for November 2023 rewards instead of 2024? Please clarify as I do not really understand the math. If there are points to be earned I thought points could be redeemed via the app in which points never expire not thru tremendous emails. Can you clarify?SolvedSM97017 days agoCasual Commenter217Views0likes6CommentsCity Explorer
I completed the City Explorer in September. Aside from the wonderful all-black picture captured from my app (which I used to print up a t-shirt), there was no recognition from Citibike or Lyft. I think it would be wise for Lyft to publicize this, as it will attract other riders to complete the task. A number of past City Explorers had newspaper articles written about them. The simplest way to do this is a leaderboard. I get that the number of stations, and the number of stations remaining, is computed from the ride history each time I click on "view profile", so it's not as easy as the bike angel leaderboard. But it shouldn't be that difficult to compute a leaderboard once per month. Hoping this or something like it gets done. I'm any case, I'll be back on the road this fall when the expansion happens.NakedHikerNYC18 days agoResourceful Rider27Views2likes1CommentNo getting bike angels points
Im a long time member. Recently, I'm not getting any bike angels points. I specifically choose to take a bike from a dock that has points for taking a bike, but no points show up in my ride history or points bank. What's up?LoyanB21 days agoResourceful Rider19Views0likes1Comment
